Welcome to Olton Mere Sailing Club
Olton Mere Sailing Club offers sailing, walking and fishing in the heart of Solihull. Olton Mere has provided a protected natural haven for wildlife and plants for over two centuries. There is a category of membership specifically for those who wish to only have access to the Mere grounds and enjoy the natural environment by walking round the Mere. The new bar is a natural meeting place after the various activities that the Mere has on offer. Social events are also organised throughout the year. There are different categories of membership from an access permit for walking to full membership including use of the water and clubhouse and participation in the many social events on offer. The club is run by the members and everyone is welcome to apply to join.

Directions by road
From M42 Jct 5, follow the A41 through Solihull towards Birmingham.
The Mere is located alongside the Warwick Road in Olton.
The drive to the sailing club is opposite the BP garage by the metal railway bridge. The road name is ‘Olton Mere’.

Join the Club
We offer three different types of membership:
- Full Membership -
allows use of all of the club facilities, including the clubhouse and bar - Fishing Permit -
allows access to the grounds and fishing - Access Permit -
allows access to the grounds for walking etc.
